Medical Services

At Tulsa Dermatology Clinic, our physicians are board certified dermatologists trained to diagnose and treat diseases of the skin, nails, hair, mucous membranes and malignancies of the skin.
We perform a variety of surgical procedures to treat benign and malignant skin lesions. This may include biopsy of suspicious lesions as well as freezing of lesions with liquid nitrogen. We perform surgical excision of benign and cancerous lesions (for medical and cosmetic purposes). All procedures can be performed in our office. Most procedures are done on the same day as your visit with a few exceptions.
We offer therapeutic ultraviolet light, cosmetic microdermabrasion and cosmetic chemical peels.
You will always be evaluated and treated by a board certified dermatologist. We do not employ physician assistants or nurse practitioners. Therapeutic ultraviolet light, microdermabrasion and peels are performed by our highly trained certified dermatology technicians.
The following are some of the skin diseases our physicians evaluate, diagnose and treat:
SKIN CANCER AND PRE-CANCEROUS LESIONS
Our physicians are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous and pre-cancerous skin lesions including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis of the skin. Treatment options for skin cancer include electrosurgical desiccation and curettage, and surgical excision. In some cases, an oral medication can be prescribed. We can treat pre-cancerous lesions with cryotherapy (freezing) and topical therapies. Total body screening for suspicious lesions is available to all our patients.
BENIGN SKIN LESIONS
Our physicians are trained to recognize and treat a variety of benign skin lesions such as cysts, moles and warts. Varieties of techniques are used to remove these lesions and will be discussed at length during exam.
PSORIASIS
Psoriasis is a persistent, inflammatory skin condition. It can appear as large scaly plaques on the body and extremities. Psoriasis can also affect the scalp, nails and joints. We offer multiple treatment options ranging from topical medication to phototherapy with UVB or UVA light. We are also trained in the use of a variety of systemic therapies and the newer injectable biologic medications. There is not a cure for psoriasis. It is considered a hereditary skin disease and all therapy is designed to keep the psoriasis under control.
ECZEMA
Eczema is a very common skin disease and generally develops on dry skin. Any area of the body can be involved. It can also be limited to the hands or scalp. There are a wide variety of treatment options including topical and oral therapies and ultraviolet light therapy. We work closely with patients to help them manage this sometimes-frustrating disease.
ACNE AND ROSACEA
Acne can affect people of all ages. Rosacea is more prevalent in adults. These conditions have a variety of treatment options that can be specifically tailored to the severity of your specific condition.
SKIN AND NAIL FUNGUS
Skin fungus is prevalent in our world. Children and adults can be affected by overgrowth of fungus anywhere on the body including the scalp and nails. Treatment options include oral and topical therapies.
